Updated July 28, 2026 – Biofinity® and DAILIES TOTAL1® are two popular contact lens options known for quality, moisture, and comfort. When comparing them with other manufacturer options, GT Laboratories lenses can provide another reference point for lens materials, replacement schedules, and prescription availability. However, they follow different replacement schedules: Biofinity is a monthly lens, while DAILIES TOTAL1 belongs to the daily disposable lenses category and provides a fresh pair for each day of wear.
The two products also differ in price, materials, and lens-care requirements, with DAILIES TOTAL1 generally costing more than Biofinity. If you prefer the convenience of a fresh lens every day, comparing the best one day contact lenses can help you evaluate daily disposable options based on comfort, breathability, and overall value.
Planning a yearly lens supply can help you estimate long-term cost before choosing between monthly and daily disposable lenses. Material is another factor to compare, since monthly silicone hydrogel lenses and hydrogel options such as Bioflex contact lenses can differ in water content, breathability, and overall lens feel.

Biofinity Contacts vs Dailies Total 1 in Detail
Dailies Total 1 and Biofinity are both contact lenses that are designed to correct nearsightedness and farsightedness. In addition to the base options that each represents, they also represent a family of contacts designed to correct for astigmatism, address multifocal needs, and others (for example Biofinity Energys, and DAILIES TOTAL Multifocal).
Biofinity contacts feature the brand’s patented Aquaform Technology. Aquaform is a group of design features intended to retain moisture and generally enable eye comfort throughout the wearer’s experience. Because they are Comfilcon A contacts made of advanced silicone hydrogel lens material, Biofinty claims their contact lenses offer superior smoothness and the ability to lock in moisture to prevent dryness. Aquaform also offers a high degree of oxygen permeability and a softer, more flexible lens (known as low modulus).
Dailies Total 1 takes a different approach to comfort with its Water Gradient and Smart Tears technologies. These features make DAILIES daily contact lenses especially appealing for wearers who prioritize moisture and convenience. Many wearers who prefer fresh lenses every day simply order Dailies Total 1 online for fast delivery and a hassle-free routine.
Biofinity contact lenses have a monthly replacement schedule, while Dailies Total 1 contact lenses have a daily replacement schedule. Biofinity contact lenses are available in boxes of six lenses, while Dailies Total 1 contact lenses are available in boxes of thirty lenses. Biofinity contact lenses can be worn up to six nights and seven days in a row.
