Paragon Thin FAQs

Can Paragon Thin contacts expire?

Like all contact lenses, Paragon Thin lenses do expire. The expiration date will be stamped on the box itself or on the aluminum fold of the blister pack in either a YYYY-MM or YYYY-MM-DD format. Typically, the expiration date for contacts is several years after the date of packaging.

Is ordering Paragon Thin contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Paragon Thin ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

Can I be allergic to Paragon Thin contacts?

Contacts, like Paragon Thin are made of hypoallergenic materials, meaning the contacts themselves don't usually cause an allergic reaction. In most cases, what causes an allergic reaction is a buildup of contaminants on the contacts. If you experience redness, watering, and other symptoms of a possible allergic reaction, remove your contacts immediately and consult your ECP.

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Paragon Thin contacts?

If you're wearing Paragon Thin for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Paragon Thin contacts?

Yes, you can still order Paragon Thin if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Paragon Thin contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Paragon Thin lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Paragon Thin contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Is Paragon Thin contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Paragon Thin is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

Can you take a nap in Paragon Thin contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Paragon Thin lenses. As Paragon Thin are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Napping for any length of time with contacts not designed for such an environment is risky. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

Are Paragon Thin sold on Lens.com authentic? Why is it cheaper than other vendors?

Yes, all contacts sold on Lens.com are 100% authentic, including Paragon Thin and come with a money-back guarantee. Lens.com is able to sell contacts extremely competitively by buying and selling in volume, by smartly managing costs and overhead, and by accepting smaller but fairer profit margins versus other e-tailers and ECPs in exchange for building a satisfied customer base. Worth the work

There is no other gas permeable contact lens like the Paragon Thin RGP. I just switched back to this lens after wearing a daily disposable lens for a while. It is convenient to just throw away your contact lenses at the end of the day but it doesn't make up for the lack of comfort and sight. Ill take a little maintenance if it give me perfect sight and comfort any day.

Paragon Thin is a great lens for astigmatism

I have astigmatism and this RGP gives me the best sight I have ever had. Disposables don't even stand close to the quality of the sight that the Paragon Thin gas permeable contact lens gives me. I am never switching back to a disposable lens after these bad boys!
