Alcon TOTAL30 lenses are monthly replacement contacts. This means a single pair is designed to be worn for up to 30 days. Unlike daily disposables, you must remove these lenses every night, clean them, and store them in an appropriate contact lens solution. After 30 days of daily wear, you discard the old lenses and begin with a fresh pair.

No, you cannot sleep in TOTAL30 contact lenses. They are FDA-approved for daily wear only, meaning they must be removed before you go to sleep. Sleeping in lenses not approved for overnight wear drastically reduces the amount of oxygen reaching your cornea, which can lead to severe eye infections, inflammation, and corneal ulcers.

1. Water Gradient Technology – The core of the lens is a highly breathable silicone hydrogel (about 55% water) that allows plenty of oxygen to reach the eye. However, the lens transitions to nearly 100% water at the outermost surface, meaning nothing touches your eye but a gentle cushion of moisture.
2. CELLIGENT® Technology – This biomimetic polymer chemistry mimics the structure of the eye's natural corneal surface. It creates a protective barrier that helps resist irritating lipid (oil) deposits and bacteria, ensuring the lens remains clean and comfortable for the entire month.
