Product Information

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses (available in 30 and 90 packs) are designed for people who need vision correction due to presbyopia but who don’t want to wear reading glasses or bifocals. These contacts provide clear, comfortable vision up close, far away, and everywhere in between.

Features & Benefits

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia are daily disposable contacts that are designed to address presbyopia — an age-related eye condition that makes nearby objects appear blurry. They can be worn for up to 16 hours, after which they should be disposed of and replaced with a fresh pair of contacts.

With 78% water content, these lenses have the exact same water content as the cornea. That moisture is built into the lenses so that it doesn’t disappear throughout the day. In fact, these lenses can maintain nearly all of their moisture for up to 16 hours. They also allow more oxygen to pass through the lenses to your eyes so that your eyes stay healthy, clear, and moist.

Manufactured with a unique material called HyperGel™, Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts are so similar to the outer layer of the eye that they’re practically imperceptible. The material works like the eye’s own healthy tears to provide all-day comfort.

Plus, Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts are designed to reduce halos and glare when using digital devices, as well as work with the eyes’ natural blink patterns. They also have the added benefit of protecting your eyes against damaging UVA and UVB rays.

Who They’re For

Presbyopia is an age-related condition marked by the inability of the eyes to properly focus on objects up close. Reading glasses and bifocals were made to help people deal with this condition, but neither of those options are ideal for those who prefer the convenience of daily disposable contacts.

Fortunately, some contact lens manufacturers have expanded their product lines to include a daily disposable contact lens option for people with presbyopia. One of the most trusted names in eye health, Bausch + Lomb, has one such option in their Biotrue ONEday line of contact lenses.

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts can help people with presbyopia see clearly up close, far away, and everywhere in between. Plus, they’re an incredibly comfortable alternative to bulky reading glasses and bifocals.

About Presbyopia

Presbyopia occurs when the lens of the eye begins to harden and lose flexibility as a result of aging. Due to the eye's inability to properly focus, objects appear blurry. People most often begin to notice this shift in their vision sometime around the age of 40. From then until about the age of 65, presbyopia will gradually get worse. Those who think they are exempt due to the fact that they have always had perfect eyesight are likely still out of luck, as presbyopia eventually catches up with practically everyone. When presbyopia shows up, you may notice an inability to focus on reading material up close. Others may experience headaches or eye strain while looking at nearby objects.

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia FAQs

Can Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses provide all-day comfort and moisture retention, catering to the needs of wearers who may experience dryness or discomfort?
Yes, Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses is made with a HyperGel™ material that functions as the eye's own healthy tears to keep the lenses comfortable for up to 16 hours.

Can you take a nap in Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia lenses. As Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Napping for any length of time with contacts not designed for such an environment is risky. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

Are Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts tinted (aka 'handling tint), for improved visibility?

Yes, Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia lenses include a light tint to make cleaning (when used with solution), handling, and inserting them easier.

Where can I buy Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts at the best price?

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses are available at the best price online, vs from a brick-and-motor store. When buying these contacts in-store or from a doctor's office, additional costs that come from higher overhead and lower volume of sales may play a part in having to pay more as a customer. On the other hand, online retailers benefit from lower costs and greater reach (greater sales volume, lower prices). At Lens.com Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts can be purchased for $22.69, after rebates. These prices are designed to be some of the lowest prices you'll find anywhere, either in-store or online.

What Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia rebates are available?

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts are regularly eligible for rebates exclusively on Lens.com. With Lens.com you can qualify for rebates with as few as an order of 4 and sometimes 8 boxes, unlike the 12 or more minimum purchase that's often required at other retailers. What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts?

If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

If you're wearing Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

Is Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Much better

I like the moisture which make these much more comfortable to wear compared to other dailies. There are some limitations with near sitedness when I wear these - harder to focus up close but otherwise love them.
