Product Information

PRECISION1® contact lenses (90 PK) let you focus on your life, not on your contacts. Featuring exclusive SMARTSURFACE® Technology, PRECISION1 contacts keep your eyes feeling fresh all day. That’s on top of providing consistently clear vision, dependable comfort, and UV protection.

Features & Benefits

PRECISION1 contacts are daily disposable lenses you only wear once. All you do is put them in in the morning and take them out before bed. This frequent replacement schedule means PRECISION1 contacts are less likely to accumulate irritating deposits, making them perfect for people with sensitive eyes.

PRECISION1 contacts are also ideal for those who experience dryness during lens wear. That’s because these contacts feature SMARTSURFACE Technology. A result of Alcon's expertise in water surface technologies, SMARTSURFACE Technology keeps moisture on the lens surface. This helps prevent your contacts from drying out and your eyes feeling irritated.

PRECISION1 contacts are also incredibly breathable because they’re made of silicone hydrogel. This lens material allows nourishing oxygen to reach the surface of the eye. Our eyes need oxygen to stay moist, clear, and healthy.

In addition, PRECISION1 contacts are classified as Class 1 lenses. This means they can block 96% of UVA rays and 100% of UVB rays. They also come with a light blue visibility tint for easier handling during insertion and removal — a particularly helpful feature for first-time contact lens wearers.

PRECISION1 contacts are available in powers ranging from -12.00D to -6.00D in 0.50 steps and -6.00D to +8.00D in 0.25 steps.

Who They’re For

PRECISION1 contacts are suitable for people who struggle with dryness and irritation during lens wear. They’re also ideal for young and first-time contact lens wearers who may prefer a convenient wearing and replacement schedule.

Additionally, PRECISION1 contacts are a great choice for anyone looking for precise vision, dependable comfort, and easy handling in a daily disposable lens.

For a fresh lens feeling and excellent end-of-day comfort, try PRECISION1 contacts from Lens.com.

How to Insert PRECISION1 Contacts

PRECISION1 contacts are soft disposable lenses and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for that type of lens. Start by washing and drying your hands with mild soap and water, then dry them with a lint-free towel. Scoop your first lens out of the case with your index finger of your dominant hand and rinse it with a cleaning solution that’s specially formulated for soft contacts. Inspect the lens for any tears or debris and make sure it’s not inside-out. Using the middle finger of your dominant hand, pull down your lower eyelid. If necessary, use the middle finger of your non-dominant hand to pull your upper eyelid. Look upward and gently put the lens on your eye. Blink a few times to center the lens. Repeat this with the other lens.

Precision1 FAQs

What is SmartSurface® Technology, and how does it benefit Precision1 contact lens wearers?
SmartSurface® Technology is a proprietary feature of Precision1 contact lenses that creates a layer of moisture on the lens surface. This technology helps to maintain hydration, providing exceptional comfort for wearers throughout the day, even in challenging environments.

How many boxes of Precision1 do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 2 box(es) of Precision1 contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 4 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Can you take a nap in Precision1 contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Precision1 lenses. As Precision1 are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Napping for any length of time with contacts not designed for such an environment is risky. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

Where can I buy Precision1 contacts at the best price?

Precision1 contact lenses are available at the best price online, vs from a brick-and-motor store. When buying these contacts in-store or from a doctor's office, additional costs that come from higher overhead and lower volume of sales may play a part in having to pay more as a customer. On the other hand, online retailers benefit from lower costs and greater reach (greater sales volume, lower prices). At Lens.com Precision1 contacts can be purchased for $47.99, after rebates. These prices are designed to be some of the lowest prices you'll find anywhere, either in-store or online.

Are Precision1 sold on Lens.com authentic? Why is it cheaper than other vendors?

Yes, all contacts sold on Lens.com are 100% authentic, including Precision1 and come with a money-back guarantee. Lens.com is able to sell contacts extremely competitively by buying and selling in volume, by smartly managing costs and overhead, and by accepting smaller but fairer profit margins versus other e-tailers and ECPs in exchange for building a satisfied customer base. We stand by our product and offer 24/7 live-customer support.

Can I buy Precision1 for someone else?

Yes, you can buy Precision1 contacts online for someone else, for example a child or someone you're assisting with making a purchase. The same simple steps apply. At Lens.com you'll only need to know what contacts you want, their prescription, the contact info of the person's ECP (for prescription verification), and a credit card. We'll do the rest!

Do Precision1 lenses have UV protection?

Yes, Precision1 contacts have some of the highest levels of UV protection on the market today. They are a great option if you spend a good deal of time outdoors.

How many lenses are in a box of Precision1 contacts?

1 box of Precision1 lenses contains 90 lenses, a 3-month supply of contacts. 1 box, per eye, last you for a period of 3 month(s).

Do I need an rx/prescription to buy Precision1 contacts online?

Yes, you do need a valid prescription to buy Precision1 contacts online. A prescription is required to buy any type or brand of contact lens, either online or in a store, without exception. What is not needed is a physical copy of your valid prescription. We need only to verify the existence of this, which is filed by your ECP, and we can do this for you. This is required by US federal law. Prescription verification is easy at Lens.com. We have several methods some of which avoid the need to contact your OD.

What Precision1 rebates are available?

Precision1 contacts are regularly eligible for rebates exclusively on Lens.com. With Lens.com you can qualify for rebates with as few as an order of 4 and sometimes 8 boxes, unlike the 12 or more minimum purchase that's often required at other retailers. Refer to our regularly updated rebate pages or contact lens product pages to see how much the rebate amount is. Rebate offers change from time to time.

Are online Precision1 contact lenses the same as from your eye doctor?

Yes, generally, Precision1 contacts purchased online are the exact same lenses you purchase in a store or a doctor's office. The guarantee that this will be the case of course varies based on where online you make your purchase. At Lens.com, all contacts are authentic, FDA-approved, and the same as you might purchase from your ECP but at a discounted price, thanks to our lower cost and better volumes.

How do I read my Precision1 prescription?

Contact lens prescriptions, including for Precision1 contacts, follow a standardized format and use abbreviated terms. There are values for power, base curve, diameter, and other parameters, some of which you'll need to specify when ordering contacts. Click here, to see further info on how to read your Precision1 contact lens prescription.

How to tell if my Precision1 contacts are inside out?

You will know Precision1 contacts are inside-out if they feel uncomfortable in your eye. An inside-out contact lens will also move too much when you blink, and they may even pop out. Some contacts feature an inside-out mark that can be checked once removed, but this is not the case with all lenses.

How do I claim my Precision1 rebate?

In order to redeem your Precision1 rebate, follow these 3 easy steps: log on to the Lens.com rebate center, print and mail your rebate form, track your rebate status, and get your prepaid Visa card in the mail.

Can I be allergic to Precision1 contacts?

Contacts, like Precision1 are made of hypoallergenic materials, meaning the contacts themselves don't usually cause an allergic reaction. In most cases, what causes an allergic reaction is a buildup of contaminants on the contacts. If you experience redness, watering, and other symptoms of a possible allergic reaction, remove your contacts immediately and consult your ECP.

Can I renew my Precision1 RX/prescription online?

Yes, you can renew your prescription of Precision1 lenses online. At Lens.com. we need only your previous prescription to begin the quick process of renewing your prescription online, and it takes only 10 minutes. In fact, you can renew any contact prescription, for any brand with Lens.com, including for a prescription for glasses. Of course, this service is only available in the 37 states which are not under the thumb of the American Optometric Association. Check here to see if you live in a privileged state.

Where can I buy Precision1 contacts near me?

Precision1 contacts are typically available to purchase at your nearest brick-and-mortar eyewear store or ECP's office. However, the lowest prices and largest inventory of these lenses can be found online, such as at Lens.com, where greater volumes and lower overhead can translate into significant savings over store-bought contacts.

Where can I buy Precision1 contacts?

Precision1 lenses are available to purchase at online retailers, some brick-and-mortar stores, and eye care professionals near you. The lowest prices and largest selections can typically be found online where retailers can take advantage of high volume and lower costs which can benefit customers. Lens.com offers exclusive rebate/rewards savings.

Can Precision1 contacts expire?

Like all contact lenses, Precision1 lenses do expire. The expiration date will be stamped on the box itself or on the aluminum fold of the blister pack in either a YYYY-MM or YYYY-MM-DD format. Typically, the expiration date for contacts is several years after the date of packaging.

Is ordering Precision1 contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Precision1 ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Precision1 contacts?

If you're wearing Precision1 for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

How should I store my Precision1 contact lenses?

Daily disposable contacts cannot be stored and must be discarded at the end of each day. Even if you wear them for only a few hours one day, you still need to discard them after that use and wear a fresh pair of contacts the next day.

You may keep weekly contacts in multi-purpose contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 2 weeks.

For monthly replacement lenses you may store them in contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 30 days.

Are Precision1 contacts, daily?

Yes, Precision1 contacts are daily disposable contacts. This means they should only be worn for one day, after which they should be disposed of and replaced with a fresh set. Wearing times within a day can vary for individual to individual, and from brand to brand, so you should obtain further guidance from your ECP.

Does Precision1 have rebates?

Typically yes, Precision1 contacts offers rebate savings through Lens.com. In order to redeem rebates, the quantity you purchased should reach the specified requirement. Rebate offers can change from time to time so be sure to check to see which rebates are being offered. The bottom line is, whatever the rebate amount, our prices are designed to be extremely competitive to everyone else, online or in-store.

How do I check the status of my Precision1 rebates?

You can check the status of your Precision1 rebate by going to the Rebate Center in your account, located in the Customer Service menu. If you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Service Department via phone (1-800 LENS.COM, 24/7) or Live Chat.

Do I need a prescription, or a copy of my prescription in order to buy Precision1?

Yes, you do require a valid prescription in order to buy Precision1 or any contacts in the United States, per Federal Law. However, at Lens.com having a copy of your prescription in your possession is not required to place an order (though be aware it's something that is owed to you by your ECP once you complete an eye examination so that you can choose where to purchase your contacts). If you don't have a copy in your possession, Lens.com representatives will help verifying your prescription by calling your ECP for you. Provide us with the basic information, sit back, and relax.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Precision1 contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Precision1 lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Precision1 contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Is Precision1 contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Precision1 is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

How old do you have to be to wear Precision1 contact lenses?

Like most contacts, including Precision1, they can be worn by teens and potentially pre-teens as well, per the direction of an ECP. In general, there is no fixed minimum age for wearing contacts, as it's a judgment call based on lifestyle habits, budget, and of course your ECP's guidance. Contacts do require care and consistency in usage and maintenance/cleaning and these are the lifestyle factors you should consider when thinking about contacts for a child.

Are Precision1 contacts tinted (aka 'handling tint), for improved visibility?

Yes, Precision1 lenses include a light tint to make cleaning (when used with solution), handling, and inserting them easier.

Comfortable & convenient

These lenses are my first experience with daily’s and I have to say I would never go back to monthly’s. These are comfortable, convenient, not even a need for contact solution. They’re clean/ sanitized in the package, easy to put in eyes & they stay there all day without drying out. I highly recommend these lenses to anyone looking to make the switch from monthly to daily contacts.
