Product Information

If you’re over the age of 40, you may have begun to notice fuzzy vision when you look at close-up objects or when you’re reading, especially in low light situations. This condition, known as presbyopia, happens to pretty much everyone sometime between the ages of 40 and 65. The reason for the vision shift is the hardening of the lens and surrounding tissues over time. As the lens of the eye becomes more rigid, it can’t properly bend to focus on close-up objects. While presbyopia can be frustrating, there’s still some good news. Rather than being forced to wear bulky or unstylish eyeglasses that can add years to your look, you can enjoy freedom and convenience with contact lenses that are specifically designed to correct the effects of presbyopia. Proclear EP is made by CooperVision for people with presbyopia, and they’ll give you the opportunity to enjoy life the way you did before presbyopia became a part of your life.

Once presbyopia begins, the condition typically worsens until around age 65. With Proclear EP lenses you can carry on with your day-to-day activities and not have to worry about putting on and taking off glasses. Proclear EP contact lenses provide clear vision at any distance, so whether you’re nearsighted or farsighted, Proclear EP can correct your vision. Those who are new to contacts may worry that their eyes won’t be as comfortable when wearing them. This is a natural concern, especially since eye dryness is quite common among people over 40. Fortunately, CooperVision’s patented PC technology acts in much the same way as naturally occurring substances found in the eye — attracting moisture, locking it in, and keeping your eyes moist all day. In fact, Proclear EP for presbyopia boasts 96 percent hydration and keep eyes comfortable for 12 hours or more.

Since disposable contact lenses are created with comfort and convenience in mind, each type has varying replacement schedules. Proclear EP are disposable, bi-weekly contact lenses. This means that they can be worn daily for up to two weeks before being tossed out and replaced with a fresh, new pair. In order to keep eyes healthy, weekly contact lenses should be removed and soaked in disinfecting solution at the end of each day. Although this is the replacement schedule recommended by the manufacturer, contact lens wearers should always follow the advice of their eye care professional as eye care needs can vary from individual to individual.

If presbyopia has become an issue for you and wearing glasses doesn’t seem like an ideal option, you should explore contact lenses made specifically for those with presbyopia. Proclear EP contact lenses are a wonderful choice for those who seek the carefree lifestyle that they enjoyed before presbyopia. With hassle-free returns, 100% money-back satisfaction, and quick shipping, you can’t go wrong with purchasing your contact lenses from Lens.com.

Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) FAQs

How many boxes of Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 2 box(es) of Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 4 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Can you take a nap in Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) contacts?

No, you cannot nap in Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) lenses. As Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) are not approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not advisable either, and it can lead to eye-health complications. Choose a lens that is approved for overnight wear and seek guidance from your ECP if this is a requirement for you.

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Proclear EP (Biomedics EP) lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. Love Them!!

This is my first experience wearing contacts and the Proclear EPs are awesome! I'm nearing the dreaded 40 and right on time... I noticed a change in my vision. After wearing glasses for a few months and not enjoying it very much, I went back to my Dr. and inquired about contacts. We discussed several options and decided that these may be the best option. As soon as I got them in, I felt like I had my normal vision back!! I had progressive lenses in my glasses and they drove me crazy! I wear my contacts all day without any discomfort!!!
