About PureVision Contact Lenses

PureVision contacts are manufactured by Bausch & Lomb, a leading global supplier of contacts. Since their release in 1999, Bausch & Lomb’s PureVision contacts have made a huge impact on the contact lens industry. Today, these contacts are known for their flexible wearing schedule, innovative optical design, and breathability.

The Complete Line of PureVision Contacts

The PureVision product family includes the following contacts:

  • PureVision
  • PureVision2 HD
  • PureVision2 HD for Astigmatism
  • PureVision 2 Multi-Focal
  • PureVision Multi-Focal
  • PureVision Toric

Why Choose PureVision?

PureVision contacts are monthly disposable lenses. Also known as monthlies, monthly contacts offer a level of convenience and affordability that many lens wearers enjoy. You use a pair every day for a month, so you only need 12 pairs yearly. For the eco- and cost-conscious lens wearer, this translates into less waste and less cost.

PureVision contacts are also FDA-approved for up to seven days of extended wear. This flexible wearing schedule can be particularly handy for busy people who need clear, comfortable vision, whether it’s in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning.

To ensure a comfortable lens-wearing experience, PureVision contacts are made of a unique silicone hydrogel material called AerGel material, which resists irritating surface deposit buildup all day. AerGel also allows oxygen to flow through the lens for white, healthy-looking eyes.

PureVision contacts also have an enhanced optical design to correct spherical aberrations, which occur when light rays are refracted at different angles as they pass through the eye. It’s normal for all eyes to have some degree of aberration, and correction is rarely required. But in severe cases, uncorrected spherical aberrations can result in less than optimal visual acuity.

PureVision contacts are available in near- and farsighted prescriptions. They’re also available in toric and multifocal designs for astigmatic and presbyopic patients, respectively, who want to enjoy the world in high definition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there PureVision contact lenses for astigmatism?

The PureVision2 Toric contact lenses are designed for patients with astigmatism. They are designed to reduce spherical aberration on the lens, which results in clear vision without halos. The contact lenses also have a thin, rounded edge design to provide the wearer with all-day comfort.

Can you sleep in PureVision2 contact lenses?

Yes, you can sleep in PureVision2 contact lenses since they are designed for extended wear of up to 30 days. However, make sure you consult your eye care professional and follow their recommendations regarding extended contact lens wear.

How long do PureVision contact lenses last?

All contact lenses in the PureVision family last for 30 days. All PureVision contact lenses are FDA-approved for 30 days of continuous wear, but you can also choose to wear them daily and remove and clean them at the end of each day.

How long can you wear PureVision contacts?
PureVision contact lenses are monthly disposable lenses, meaning a pair is worn for an entire month (removed and cleaned each night) before they’re thrown away and replaced.
Are PureVision contact lenses being discontinued?
No, PureVision contacts are still available from Bausch and Lomb. Typically, if a contact lens ceases to be produced by the manufacturer, we will indicate it clearly on our product page as being a discontinued lens and there won't be an option to purchase them.

PureVision Contact Lens Reviews

Rating: 9.5/10 - 397 reviews

PureVision

Monthly Disposable

My contact lenses have been out of stock since October - Lens.com was the only place that had them!

PureVision MultiFocal

Bifocal Lenses

The product is excellent! I love it. I always buy the product every time i need it. I don't have any problem.

PureVision 2 HD

Monthly Disposable

I’ve tried to change to newer types; monthly, weekly, daily, breath better, etc. But these have always done well for me. They don’t keep folding over on my fingertip, they don’t fall out of my eye because I rubbed an itch. Newer versions of contacts tend to be to flimsy in my opinion.
Hard to get product; quick processing and delivery.

Purevision 2 Multi-Focal

Monthly Disposable

As I wear the lenses all day and even into the evening, the B&L Pure Vision 2 lenses are very comfortable. The clarity and comfort is consistent throughout the wearing period.
