Product Information

Bausch & Lomb’s Boston Equalens II contacts are highly breathable rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses indicated for daily or extended wear. They can be made in a wide range of parameters.

Features & Benefits

Boston Equalens II contacts are RGP lenses that can be worn daily for up to a year before they need to be replaced. Boston Equalens II contacts can also be worn for up to seven days straight before they need to be removed, cleaned, and disinfected.

Contrary to popular belief, RGP lenses like Boston Equalens II contacts are actually comfortable because of their high oxygen permeability. This means they allow plenty of nourishing oxygen to pass through — oxygen our eyes need to stay moist and healthy.

With almost zero water content, Boston Equalens II contacts are also naturally resistant to surface deposit buildup that can otherwise cause discomfort. And because Boston Equalens II contacts can be made in a wide range of parameters, they can correct virtually any refractive error, including high levels of astigmatism and presbyopia.

Who They’re For

Boston Equalens II contacts are solid candidates for people with high levels of astigmatism or presbyopia for whom soft lenses don’t produce the desired visual acuity. Boston Equalens II contacts are also suitable for those with irregular corneal conditions.

How to Put In Boston Equalens II

Boston Equalens II contacts are RGP lenses and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for this type of lens. Wash and dry your hands before touching the contacts or your eyes. Scoop your first lens out of the case with the index finger of your dominant hand and rinse it with a multipurpose cleaning solution designed for RGP lenses. Hold your eyelid open, stare straight ahead, and gently place the lens on your eye. Repeat for the other lens.

Boston Equalens II is a high quality contact lens

I switched to the Boston Equalens II a couple of years ago from disposable lenses and the quality isn't even comparable. I was really missing out by wearing disposable lenses for so long. I get such better comfort with the Boston Equalens II than with any other disposable contact lens. The sight is superior as well because the lens is custom made, this is a high quality contact lens!

Boston Equalens II are very easy to care for.

I switched to Rigid Gas Permeable about 7 years ago and this brand was the best that I found. Over the year my vision progressively got worse and worse and finally soft contact lenses were no longer an option. My eye doc at first prescribed a different brand of rgps but I my eyes never got used to them and the contacts pop out very often. I went through several trial brands and finally got to Boston Equalens II. I could not believe how comfortable they were and how perfectly they fit my eye. These lenses give me perfect clear vision and great comfort throughout the day.
