SilSoft™ Aphakic contact lenses are specially designed for adults who have recently had cataract surgery without an intraocular lens implant. Made of a silicone hydrogel lens material, these contacts allow high levels of oxygen to reach the eye. As such, SilSoft Aphakic contacts can be worn overnight.

SilSoft Aphakic contacts are silicone hydrogel lenses that can be worn for several months to a year before they need to be replaced. They can be worn daily or continuously for up to a maximum of 30 days between removals for cleaning and disinfecting. Keep in mind that not everyone can wear these contacts for a full 30 days. If your eye care professional (ECP) recommends a different wearing schedule, follow their guidance. It is also recommended that you clean and disinfect your contacts whenever you remove them for whatever reason.
SilSoft Aphakic contacts allow more oxygen to pass through than any other contact lens for aphakia. In fact, these contacts have an incredibly high oxygen transmissibility value of 340. The higher the value, the more oxygen can pass through the contact lens to the eye. Our eyes need oxygen to stay moist, clear, and healthy.
SilSoft Aphakic contacts have only approximately 0.2 percent water content. This is a very low water content, but don’t worry. Low water content contacts won’t actually dry your eyes.
