You need to take very good care of your contact lenses. They go directly on your eye. If you tend to be sloppy, careless, unable to follow the manufacturers’ and your eye care provider’s directions, you should consider not wearing contact lenses. Poorly cleaned and cared for contact lenses can result in everything from red or dry eyes, mild grit-like sensations, to a full-blown cornea-threatening eye infection. Contact lenses don’t cause infections, contact lens wearers do, by failing to follow directions. The need to take care and follow directions from your ECP and manufacturer applies to both daily disposable and monthly contacts alike.
