Putting in contact lenses is a simple process that becomes easier with practice. Proper hygiene and a steady hand are the most important factors for a successful and comfortable application.
- Wash your hands thoroughly with lint-free soap and water to remove dirt, oils, and bacteria.
- Dry your hands completely using a clean, lint-free towel to prevent water or fibers from sticking to the lens.
- Place the lens on the tip of your dry index finger and check that it forms a bowl shape with edges pointing up, not flared out.
- Use your other hand to gently pull your upper eyelid upward and your middle finger to pull your lower eyelid down.
- Look straight ahead or upward and gently place the lens on the eye, then slowly release your eyelids and blink to center the lens.
If the lens feels scratchy or uncomfortable, remove it immediately and rinse it with fresh multi-purpose solution to remove any debris. Never use tap water or saliva to rinse your lenses.
