You can but you shouldn’t ever do this. Water, even apparently ‘clean’ water can contain contaminants and bacteria that would love to get between your cornea and a contact lens. There, they can set up house, breed and eat away at your cornea potentially causing blindness. Always use an approved contact lens solution, which are designed to clean and protect your lenses. Don’t risk it, even once.
