We love scrolling through TikTok as much as anyone else. The platform is a goldmine for beauty hacks, and lately, we’ve seen a lot of contact lenses brands and models’ content popping up on our For You Page. From insertion tricks to “holy grail” product lists, creators are sharing their experiences with millions of viewers.
We’re reacting to three popular contact lens videos to give you the full picture plus the links to the top-tier lenses everyone is talking about.
1. The "Easy Insert" Hack
Our Reaction: First off, we have to give credit where it’s due because this creator’s technique for holding the eye open is spot on! One of the biggest struggles for beginners is the natural blink reflex, so pinning those lashes is a game-changer.
What Was Missing: There is one step you absolutely cannot skip, yet it wasn’t shown: Washing your hands.
Before you even think about touching your eye or your lens, you need to scrub your hands with soap and water and dry them with a lint-free towel. Your hands carry thousands of bacteria that you definitely don’t want transferring to your eyes. So, please, wash up first!

Bonus Pro Tip: The Taco Test
Before inserting, put the lens on the tip of your finger and look at the shape. If it looks like a perfect “U” or a taco shell, you are good to go. If the edges flare out like a soup bowl, it is inside out. Inserting an inverted lens is uncomfortable and makes the lens slide around, so this quick check is a lifesaver.
2. Essential Contact Lens Tips
Our Reaction: We love seeing creators advocate for proper lens storage! Keeping your lenses safe when they aren’t in your eyes keeps their longevity and comfort.
What Was Missing: While the video covered the basics, we want to add a “Golden Rule” of lens care that often gets overlooked: Never “top off” your solution.
It’s tempting to just add a little fresh solution to the liquid already in your case, but this dilutes the disinfectant and allows bacteria to grow. Always dump out the old solution, rinse your case, let it air dry upside down, and fill it with 100% fresh solution every time you store your lenses. Your eyes will thank you!

Bonus Pro Tip: Don’t Forget the Case!
We often focus so much on cleaning the lenses that we forget the container they sleep in. Contact lens cases can actually grow biofilm over time. Make it a habit to throw away your old case and start with a fresh new one at least every three months. Most experts recommend swapping it out every time you open a new bottle of solution.
3. The "Favorites" Reveal
Our Reaction: It’s always fun to see which brands influencers swear by. We noticed this creator highlighting some absolute heavyweights in the contact lens world. Finding the “perfect” lens is a personal journey, but the ones mentioned here are favorites for a reason, as they offer incredible breathability and comfort.
Shop The Products: If you’re looking to try the lenses mentioned (or similar top-rated picks), we’ve got you covered. Here are the direct links to the fan-favorites often featured in these “Best Of” lists:
