About the Acuvue Brand

Johnson & Johnson introduced Acuvue® contacts to the market in 1987, transforming vision correction. Since then, the brand has been dedicated to bringing leading-edge innovation in eye lens technology to people worldwide, so it’s no surprise that Acuvue lenses are worn by more people than any other brand today.

The Complete Line of Acuvue Contacts

Johnson & Johnson revolutionized the contact lens industry when it introduced Acuvue brand contacts — the world’s first disposable soft lenses. The contacts were originally indicated for seven-day extended wear but eventually became a daily-wear lens.

Today, the Acuvue brand has several product families, including daily disposable lenses, 1-2 week lenses, and monthly disposable lenses.

Daily disposable Acuvue contacts:

  • 1-Day Acuvue Moist – (etafilcon A) hydrogel material (available for astigmatism and presbyopia). Introduced in 2006.
  • 1-Day Acuvue TruEye – (narafilcon A) first silicone hydrogel daily disposable; released 2008 in European Markets and 2010 in North America.
  • 1-Day Acuvue Define – (etafilcon A) hydrogel material. Introduced in 2001.
  • 1-Day Acuvue Oasys with HydraLuxe – (senofilcon A) silicone hydrogel material (available for astigmatism)

1-2 week Acuvue contacts:

  • Acuvue 2 – (etafilcon A) hydrogel material. Introduced in 1999.
  • Acuvue Oasys – (senofilcon A) silicone hydrogel material (available for presbyopia in US and astigmatism in most other markets). Introduced in 2005.

Monthly disposable Acuvue contacts:

  • Acuvue Vita – (senofilcon C) Methyl ether cellulose. Introduced in 2016.

Why Choose Acuvue?

Acuvue (derived from “accurate view”) is the world’s leading brand of disposable contact lenses. Manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, Acuvue contacts are known for being high-quality lenses that come in many different variations to accommodate a wide range of vision correction needs. So whether you’re nearsighted, farsighted, or presbyopic, there’s an Acuvue lens for you.

Acuvue has been on the forefront of eye lens technology since 1987. As such, many Acuvue lenses feature advanced technologies to ensure comfort and visual acuity. Examples include:

  • HydraLuxe™ - HydraLuxe is a unique design with an enhanced network of tear-like molecules that lubricates and moisturizes the lens for effortless blinking. HydraLuxe is featured in Acuvue Oasys 1-Day and Acuvue Oasys 1-Day for Astigmatism contacts.
  • HYDRACLEAR® PLUS - HYDRACLEAR PLUS is a patented technology that mixes a wetting agent into the lens formula itself. Inspired by the way the tear film works, that wetting agent keeps the lens moist, soft, and smooth all day. All Acuvue Oasys 2-Week contacts feature HYDRACLEAR PLUS.
  • LACREON® - LACREON is a wetting technology that ensures long-lasting comfort by permanently embedding a wetting agent called polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) into the lens material. LACREON is unique to the 1-Day Acuvue Moist portfolio.

Aside from eye-inspired technologies, Acuvue contacts also feature high levels of UV protection. This makes them a popular choice among lens wearers who spend a lot of time outdoors. Many Acuvue contacts come with visibility tints and inside-out marks as well. Both of these features make it easy to insert and handle your contacts.

Acuvue 2

1-2 Week Disposable

I always seem to wait too long to order my lenses. I’m always down to my very last pair, but I don’t worry any more because I can count on them being delivered within a day with this company. It keeps me coming back. Plus, the prices are great!
Ordered a few times from them now and never had an issue so far
These are just my brand of contacts I have always used them. They’re comfortable and somewhat affordable. (Given today’s inflation) and quality wise they last their allotted time worth out damage. So worth the money I pay.

1-Day Acuvue TruEye

Daily Disposable

Received quickly, no hassles, never messed up the order.

1-Day Acuvue Define

Daily Disposable

I can't even feel them in my eyes. My old contacts made my eyes get dry, but these do not do that. They don't rip as easily, but are still soft.
Best feeling contacts I've ever worn, even while living in the AZ desert. Even comfortable after glaucoma and cataract surgery. I forget I'm wearing it many times. It's the only brand/size that fit my eye after the surgeries. Now only if they'd come out with a multiview/progressive so I could use just one contact for distance and reading...I'll...

Acuvue VITA

Monthly Disposable

I found Lens.com on line on a Google search for best way to buy contact lenses. It was easy ordering. Received everything timely. Now just waiting for the rebate. Which seems to be easy also. Thanks for everything.👍
These contacts were excellent. Exactly what I ordered. I called lens.com. And they were great helped me with my order in every way possible. I had it wrong and they made sure it was right before I ordered them. I love my contacts and will be ordering more from them.

Acuvue Oasys with Transitions

1-2 Week Disposable

I've worn these lenses for years, and they've always worked well for me.
Could be less expensive, but proper product
