Product Information

Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology contact lenses (available in 12 & 24 packs) are bi-weekly contacts that keep your eyes moist and comfortable. They’re ideal for contact lens wearers who experience eye dryness or who may find themselves dependent on rewetting drops.

Features & Benefits

Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR PLUS are bi-weekly contact lenses. They can be worn daily for 2 weeks or continuously for up to 6 nights and 7 days, after which they must be removed, disposed of, and replaced with a new pair of lenses.

These contacts feature Acuvue’s innovative HYDRACLEAR PLUS. Inspired by the way the eye’s tear film works, this wetting agent keeps the contacts wet and smooth for all-day comfort.

These contacts are also remarkably comfortable because they’re made of senofilcon A — a silicone hydrogel material with 62% water content. Silicone hydrogel contacts allow plenty of oxygen to reach the eyes so that they stay moist, clear, and healthy.

These contacts also block more than 99% of UVB and 95% of UVA rays — some of the highest levels you'll find on the market today. Plus, they come with a visibility tint and inside-out markings so that you can insert them properly every time.

Additionally, Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR PLUS contact lenses provide clear, crisp vision for people with astigmatism — a common eye condition that causes blurred vision. They can also help people with nearsightedness or farsightedness see clearly.

How To Put In Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR PLUS

Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR PLUS are soft disposable contacts and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for that type of lens. Start by washing your hands with a mild soap, then dry them with a lint-free towel. Scoop your first lens out of the case with your index finger of your dominant hand. Rinse it with a cleaning solution that’s specially formulated for soft contacts. Inspect the lens for any tears or debris, and make sure it’s not inside-out. Using the middle finger of your dominant hand, pull down your lower eyelid. If necessary, use the middle finger of your non-dominant hand to pull your upper eyelid. Look upward and gently put the lens on your eye. Blink a few times to center the lens. Repeat this with the other lens. If Acuvue Oasys with HYDRACLEAR PLUS are inserted properly, your eyes should feel comfortable and your vision should be clear.

Acuvue Oasys FAQs

How long can I wear Acuvue Oasys?

Acuvue Oasys can be worn continuously as extended wear lenses for up to 6 nights/7 days (under the guidance of your optician) and must be disposed of. If you're removing and cleansing them at the end of each day and not sleeping with them on, then they can be worn for up to 2 weeks before being replaced.

Can you sleep in Acuvue Oasys?

Yes, you can sleep in Acuvue Oasys lenses for a maximum of 6 nights continuously before disposing of them. Other Acuvue Oasys lenses approved for extended wear include their Astigmatism and Multifocal solutions. It's best to consult your optician for their advice on extended wear.

What contact solution is best for Acuvue Oasys?

There's no single best brand solution for Acuvue Oayss apart from any reputable solution that's designed as a multi-purpose solution. A multi-purpose solution cleans, disinfects, and helps store contact lenses including soft contacts, which Acuvue Oasys is an example of.

What is the difference between Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue Moist?

ACUVUE OASYS and 1-DAY ACUVUE MOIST are both soft contact lenses and disposable contacts, however they have different replacement schedules. Acuvue Oasys is a 2-week lens while Acuvue Moist is a daily disposable lens. Acuvue Moist has a higher water content than Oasys but this is not unusual for a daily lens vs a bi-weekly lens. Both lenses feature UV blocking as well as a light tint for handling purposes. Both include advanced technologies to promote comfort throughout the day, but they go about this slightly differently. Ultimately, they are compelling and popular options within their respective segments, and guidance from an ECP will help determine your specific needs.

How does Acuvue Oasys compare with Dailies Total 1?

While these are 2 dominant products within their respective categories, they are from 2 different categories. Acuvue Oasys is a 2-week lens while Dailies Total 1 is a daily disposable lens, so both carry very different care and maintenance regimes. What makes Acuvue Oasys special is that it has a shorter replacement schedule than a monthly lens (which arguably means it may be more comfortable for some wearers) while also carrying the benefit of overnight wear. Dailies Total 1 is one of the most popular dailies lenses but they can't be worn overnight and they carry the disadvantage of higher costs (since they have to be replaced each and every day). So what do you value most - cost savings, overnight wear as an option, and proven comfort? Or do you prefer class-leading comfort for a dailies and the usual advantages that come with a daily disposable but at the cost of higher running costs?

How do I know if my Acuvue Oasys contact lens is left or right?
In the box, look for the sticker with an "L" which stands for left and an "R" which stands for right. This is often located next to your prescription.

Can you take a nap in Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts?

Yes, you can nap in Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack lenses. As Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack is approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not a problem. As always though, make sure you're OK to do so with your ECP even if they are technically approved as every individual's situation is different. Whether sleeping overnight or napping with contacts, this is an environment that reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches your eye, hence the precautions you need to take in terms of choosing the right lens.

How much do Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts cost?

Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts have an online advertised selling price that ranges between $19.89 to $307.96, per box (per eye), with 1 box lasting you for 6 months. On Lens.com Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack is listed at $23.99 per box after rebates. Taxes and fees vary by seller and can change over time. The price of Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack at brick-and-mortar locations and doctor's offices varies, but on average tends to be higher than prices online due to differences in costs of doing business. This pricing information is updated daily.

How many boxes of Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 1 box(es) of Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 2 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Where can I buy Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts at the best price?

Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contact lenses are available at the best price online, vs from a brick-and-motor store. When buying these contacts in-store or from a doctor's office, additional costs that come from higher overhead and lower volume of sales may play a part in having to pay more as a customer. On the other hand, online retailers benefit from lower costs and greater reach (greater sales volume, lower prices). At Lens.com Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts can be purchased for $23.99, after rebates. These prices are designed to be some of the lowest prices you'll find anywhere, either in-store or online.

Are Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts tinted (aka 'handling tint), for improved visibility?

Yes, Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack lenses include a light tint to make cleaning (when used with solution), handling, and inserting them easier.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts?

Yes, you can still order Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

How do I get my Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack rebate?

To get a Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack rebate, make a qualifying purchase from Lens.com. After your order ships, access the Rebate Center to print your contact lens rebate form(s). The mailing address is on the rebate form.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Are Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack sold on Lens.com authentic? Why is it cheaper than other vendors?

Yes, all contacts sold on Lens.com are 100% authentic, including Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack and come with a money-back guarantee. What is the difference between Acuvue Oasys vs. Acuvue Oasys 1-Day?
Acuvue Oasys contacts are bi-weekly lenses. They can be worn daily for two weeks or continuously for up to seven days. In contrast, Acuvue Oasys 1-Day contacts are daily disposable lenses. Acuvue Oasys contacts use HYDRACLEAR PLUS Technology to keep your eyes moist and comfortable, whereas Acuvue Oasys 1-Day contacts use HydraLuxe Technology to ensure effortless blinking and all-day comfort.

Refer to our regularly updated rebate pages or contact lens product pages to see how much the rebate amount is. Rebate offers change from time to time.

Is Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Acuvue Oasys 12 Pack is FDA-approved.
