Product Information

Enjoy clear, reliable vision at any distance with Acuvue® Oasys Multifocal, 2 Week - 6 pack. These bi-weekly contact lenses fuse three unique technologies to deliver superior performance and comfort, regardless of age or refractive error.

Features & Benefits

Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts are 2-week disposable lenses that are designed to address presbyopia — an age-related eye condition that makes nearby objects appear blurry. They can be worn daily for up to 14 days or continuously for up to six nights and seven days.

As multifocal lenses, Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts combine multiple prescriptions into one lens for clear vision at any distance. These contacts also feature PUPIL OPTIMIZED DESIGN, which tailors 100% of parameters to pupil size variations across both age and refraction. This allows the wearer to see what they need, how and when they need it.

Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts also feature Hybrid Back Curve Technology, which helps to position the lens on the eye precisely. On top of that, Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts feature HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology. This technology embeds a tear-like wetting agent into the lens to keep eyes comfortable throughout the day.

Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts are also very comfortable because they’re made of senofilcon A. This highly breathable silicone hydrogel lens material allows plenty of nourishing oxygen to pass through the lens for white, healthy-looking eyes.

Additionally, Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts have one of the highest levels of ultraviolet (UV) protection available in a bi-weekly contact lens.

HYDRACLEAR, featured on Acuvue's 2-week lenses, boasts an embedded wetting agent throughout the lens matrix, which mimics the mucin layer of the tear film and helps keep the tear film stable ultimately reducing dryness symptoms.

Who They’re For

About Presbyopia

Presbyopia occurs when the lens of the eye begins to harden and lose flexibility as a result of aging. Due to the eye's inability to properly focus, objects appear blurry. People most often begin to notice this shift in their vision sometime around the age of 40. From then until about the age of 65, presbyopia will gradually get worse. Those who think they are exempt due to the fact that they have always had perfect eyesight are likely still out of luck, as presbyopia eventually catches up with practically everyone. When presbyopia shows up, you may notice an inability to focus on reading material up close. Others may experience headaches or eye strain while looking at nearby objects.

How To Put In Acuvue Oasys Multifocal

Acuvue Oasys Multifocal contacts are soft disposable contacts and as such, you should follow the standard procedure for that type of lens. Start by washing your hands with a mild soap, then dry them with a lint-free towel. Scoop your first lens out of the case with your index finger of your dominant hand. Rinse it with a cleaning solution that’s specially formulated for soft contacts. Inspect the lens for any tears or debris, and make sure it’s not inside-out. Using the middle finger of your dominant hand, pull down your lower eyelid. If necessary, use the middle finger of your non-dominant hand to pull your upper eyelid. Stare straight ahead and gently place the lens on your eye. Blink a few times to center the lens. Repeat with the other lens. Don't panic if you see ghost images or doubling of images when you wear multifocal contacts for the first time. This is part of the adaptation process, and it should improve after a few weeks of wearing multifocal contacts.

Acuvue Oasys 2-week Multifocal FAQs

Can I wash my face with Acuvue Oasys 2-week Multifocal contact lenses on?
No, washing your face with contacts on increases the risk of eye infections as water can carry microbes that stick to your lenses and potentially enter your eyes, especially if your cornea is scratched or damaged.

Can you take a nap in Acuvue Oasys 2-week Multifocal contacts?

Yes, you can nap in Acuvue Oasys 2-week Multifocal lenses. As Acuvue Oasys 2-week Multifocal is approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not a problem. As always though, make sure you're OK to do so with your ECP even if they are technically approved as every individual's situation is different. Whether sleeping overnight or napping with contacts, this is an environment that reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches your eye, hence the precautions you need to take in terms of choosing the right lens.

Great product, I have allergies, and these don't affect me with the dry itchy eyes all the time. Love the freedom with the multifocal lenses.

Multifocal range

They always feel great on my eyes but so.e batches are better than others when it comes to the multifocal part. I have high on multifocal but on this batch I have to wear readers to read, the last batch i didnt. This batch is just not quite strong enough to me.

a good solution

I am enjoying my Oasys lenses. After decades of wearing Acuvue 2 I needed the multifocal option. The Oasys offers something similar in terms of wearability. I did have to compromise on my prescription though - to go without the use of readers, I needed to give up some clarity in distance. This isn't necessarily the fault of the lenses but more where I am in my vision.

Dr.

Near vision not quite as good as Acuvue for presbyopia. Night vision may be slightly better. All in all I would prefer Acuvue for presbiopia.
