Product Information

Aquaclear is a monthly disposable contact lens from CooperVision, designed to bring contact lens wearers an advanced level of comfort in a monthly disposable lens. Aquaclear - same as Biofinity. Aquaclear is sold under multiple names in a variety of stores, they are all based on the same contact lens and all orders will be shipped as Biofinity, which is the original manufacturer for this lens.

Approved for six nights and seven days of extended wear, Aquaclear contacts won't slow down your busy days. With a premium level of comfort packed into these lenses, you can safely and comfortably wear these contact lenses for seven days in a row. Typically, traditional silicone contact lenses either provide a high water content with a stiffer lens, or a softer lens with lower moisture content. Fortunately, Aquaclear contacts can finally give contact lens wearers the best of both worlds. Not only do these lenses allow plenty of oxygen to reach your eyes, but the lens material is naturally wet and stays moist, soft, and resistant to both dehydration and deposits.

Aquaclear (Same as Biofinity) FAQs

How many boxes of Aquaclear do I need to buy to last 6 months, or 12 months?

You need 1 box(es) of Aquaclear contacts to last you for 6 months. In order to last you for 12 months, you'll need 2 box(es). These amounts pertain to a single eye, so to cover both eyes, double these amounts.

Can you take a nap in Aquaclear contacts?

Yes, you can nap in Aquaclear lenses. As Aquaclear is approved for overnight wear (a full night's sleep), napping in them for a short period of time is not a problem. As always though, make sure you're OK to do so with your ECP even if they are technically approved as every individual's situation is different. Whether sleeping overnight or napping with contacts, this is an environment that reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches your eye, hence the precautions you need to take in terms of choosing the right lens.

What are Aquaclear contacts made of?

Aquaclear lenses are made from Silicone Hydrogel, using a specific formulation developed by CooperVision. They have a water content of 48%, and a Aspherical lens design.

Is ordering Aquaclear contact lenses online safe?

Yes, all contact lenses, including Aquaclear ordered from Lens.com are FDA-approved, genuine lenses manufactured by top contact lens brands such as Bausch + Lomb and Alcon, and backed by a money-back guarantee. Order and fulfillment processes adhere to mandates set by US federal law, including the requirement to verify valid prescriptions, without exception. We go above and beyond, by making the experience efficient, easy, and pleasant with 24/7/365 customer service and a money-back guarantee.

Can I be allergic to Aquaclear contacts?

Contacts, like Aquaclear are made of hypoallergenic materials, meaning the contacts themselves don't usually cause an allergic reaction. In most cases, what causes an allergic reaction is a buildup of contaminants on the contacts. If you experience redness, watering, and other symptoms of a possible allergic reaction, remove your contacts immediately and consult your ECP.

Where can I buy Aquaclear contacts?

Aquaclear lenses are available to purchase at online retailers, some brick-and-mortar stores, and eye care professionals near you. The lowest prices and largest selections can typically be found online where retailers can take advantage of high volume and lower costs which can benefit customers. Lens.com offers exclusive rebate/rewards savings.

What if I don't have my prescription? Can I still order Aquaclear contacts?

Yes, you can still order Aquaclear if you don't have a hard copy of your RX/prescription on hand. As long as you have a valid contact lens prescription (which will be on file at your ECP's) you can still place an order with us at Lens.com. Choose your lens, provide us with the contact info of your ECP and we'll do the rest. If your ECP is unable to respond to our request for the info needed in a timely manner, your lenses will automatically be shipped out to you. This is the process put in place by the FTC to ensure your rights as a consumer.

Can I buy Aquaclear for someone else?

Yes, you can buy Aquaclear contacts online for someone else, for example a child or someone you're assisting with making a purchase. The same simple steps apply. At Lens.com you'll only need to know what contacts you want, their prescription, the contact info of the person's ECP (for prescription verification), and a credit card. We'll do the rest!

How do I buy Aquaclear contacts online?

To buy Aquaclear contacts online, you'll need a credit card, the quantity you want to order, and the name of your eye doctor. That's the bare bones. We can contact your eye doctor to confirm your prescription on your behalf. If you have a physical copy of your prescription, great, then we won't need to contact your eye doctor. it's very simple, and if you have any difficulties, our friendly Customer Service Representatives are here to help. These steps are based on rules laid out by federal policy to protect consumer rights and we take full advantage of them to ensure an easy and timely experience for you.

Are online Aquaclear contact lenses the same as from your eye doctor?

Yes, generally, Aquaclear contacts purchased online are the exact same lenses you purchase in a store or a doctor's office. The guarantee that this will be the case of course varies based on where online you make your purchase. At Lens.com, all contacts are authentic, FDA-approved, and the same as you might purchase from your ECP but at a discounted price, thanks to our lower cost and better volumes.

How do I read my Aquaclear prescription?

Contact lens prescriptions, including for Aquaclear contacts, follow a standardized format and use abbreviated terms. There are values for power, base curve, diameter, and other parameters, some of which you'll need to specify when ordering contacts. Click here, to see further info on how to read your Aquaclear contact lens prescription.

How to tell if my Aquaclear contacts are inside out?

You will know Aquaclear contacts are inside-out if they feel uncomfortable in your eye. An inside-out contact lens will also move too much when you blink, and they may even pop out. Some contacts feature an inside-out mark that can be checked once removed, but this is not the case with all lenses.

Can I renew my Aquaclear RX/prescription online?

Yes, you can renew your prescription of Aquaclear lenses online. At Lens.com. we need only your previous prescription to begin the quick process of renewing your prescription online, and it takes only 10 minutes. In fact, you can renew any contact prescription, for any brand with Lens.com, including for a prescription for glasses. Of course, this service is only available in the 37 states which are not under the thumb of the American Optometric Association. Check here to see if you live in a privileged state.

Where can I buy Aquaclear contacts near me?

Aquaclear contacts are typically available to purchase at your nearest brick-and-mortar eyewear store or ECP's office. However, the lowest prices and largest inventory of these lenses can be found online, such as at Lens.com, where greater volumes and lower overhead can translate into significant savings over store-bought contacts.

How should I store my Aquaclear contact lenses?

Daily disposable contacts cannot be stored and must be discarded at the end of each day. Even if you wear them for only a few hours one day, you still need to discard them after that use and wear a fresh pair of contacts the next day.

You may keep weekly contacts in multi-purpose contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 2 weeks.

For monthly replacement lenses you may store them in contact solution in a tightly closed contact lens case for up to 30 days.

Can Aquaclear contacts expire?

Like all contact lenses, Aquaclear lenses do expire. The expiration date will be stamped on the box itself or on the aluminum fold of the blister pack in either a YYYY-MM or YYYY-MM-DD format. Typically, the expiration date for contacts is several years after the date of packaging.

What is the water content of Aquaclear?

Aquaclear contacts have a water content of 48%. The higher the water content in a contact lens, the more oxygen reaches the cornea during lens wear. There are other factors at play however so water content alone isn't enough of a factor to judge a lens' performance for a given person. High water content lenses can feel comfortable initially but may dry out over time, but this is not always the case. So it's good to know about the water content of a lens, but it's not everything. Consult your ECP to find out the best options for you.

How long does it take to adjust to wearing Aquaclear contacts?

If you're wearing Aquaclear for the first time, it can take several days to a couple of weeks for you to adjust to wearing them on a daily basis. Contacts vary from brand to brand in terms of their shape, material, breathability, wetting agents used, and other factors, thus requiring an adjustment period. Rigid/hard lenses can sometimes take longer to adjust to, whereas most contacts in use today employ a soft form of silicone that is typically easy to adjust to.

Is Aquaclear discontinued?

No, Aquaclear contacts have not been discontinued by CooperVision. They continue to be produced, marketed, and sold on Lens.com. Typically, if a contact lens ceases to be produced by the manufacturer, we will indicate it clearly on our product page as being a discontinued lens and it won't be an option to purchase them.

Are Aquaclear contacts, monthly?

Yes, Aquaclear contacts are monthly disposable contacts. They are meant to be worn daily for 30 days, removed, cleaned and stored at night, and disposed of after 30 days to be replaced with a fresh set.

Do Aquaclear lenses have UV protection?

No, Aquaclear contacts do not have UV protection. If you are looking for contacts with this feature, check out other lenses sold on Lens.com where the feature is specifically provided on each product page.

Does Aquaclear contacts have an inside-out mark?

Aquaclear contacts are indicated as No to having an inside-out mark. Generally, if there is a marking, to view it, place the lens on your fingertip. Hold it up to bright light and look at the outside surface of the lens from the side. If it does not have such a marking, there are other methods to judge if your lens is positioned inside or out. Click here to read more.

Do I need a prescription, or a copy of my prescription in order to buy Aquaclear?

Yes, you do require a valid prescription in order to buy Aquaclear or any contacts in the United States, per Federal Law. However, at Lens.com having a copy of your prescription in your possession is not required to place an order (though be aware it's something that is owed to you by your ECP once you complete an eye examination so that you can choose where to purchase your contacts). If you don't have a copy in your possession, Lens.com representatives will help verifying your prescription by calling your ECP for you. Provide us with the basic information, sit back, and relax.

Who makes Aquaclear contacts?

Aquaclear contacts are made by CooperVision, and sold on Lens.com.

Can I use my eyeglass prescription for Aquaclear contact lenses?

Unfortunately no, you can't use your eyeglass prescription for Aquaclear lenses. Your eyeglass prescription only has the power part of the contact lens prescription. In addition to the power, the proper base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) are needed to order contact lenses. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. So ultimately eyeglass prescriptions are not the same as a prescription for Aquaclear contacts. See an ECP/optometrist if you're looking for a contact lens prescription and fitting as a first-time-wearer.

Is Aquaclear contact lens FDA-approved?

Yes, Aquaclear is FDA-approved. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates all contact lenses as prescription medical devices and thus must go through an approval process, after which they can be legally sold in the US (if approved). Lens.com sells only FDA-approved contact lenses. From lenses to address near, farsightedness, astigmatism, and even cosmetic lenses, our inventory consists only of FDA-approved contacts.

How old do you have to be to wear Aquaclear contact lenses?

Like most contacts, including Aquaclear, they can be worn by teens and potentially pre-teens as well, per the direction of an ECP. In general, there is no fixed minimum age for wearing contacts, as it's a judgment call based on lifestyle habits, budget, and of course your ECP's guidance. Contacts do require care and consistency in usage and maintenance/cleaning and these are the lifestyle factors you should consider when thinking about contacts for a child.

Are Aquaclear contacts tinted (aka 'handling tint), for improved visibility?

Yes, Aquaclear lenses include a light tint to make cleaning (when used with solution), handling, and inserting them easier.

Is Aquaclear good for dry eyes?

Aquaclear contacts have a water content of 48%. They are made from Silicone Hydrogel. Oftentimes (and counterintuitively) the higher the water content, the more drying the lens can be for wearers with dry eye conditions. This is not always the case though, as lens material type, lens size, and even the contact lens solution you use can be contributing factors. As this can be a complicated issue, its best to consult with your ECP to determine what's at the root of your dry eye condition and how best to address it in terms of contact lens and other lifestyle choices.

Aquaclear is the way to go

I'm convinced that Aquaclear is the way to go! I tried them out as I tended to get bad dry-eye with more traditional contacts. These lasted great and kept my eyes comfortable the whole time wearing them. I can't believe how breathable they feel!

Aquaclear are high quality and durrable

Aquaclear offers a great durable contact that lasts the whole month. I was worried they'd feel worn out or dry after daily use, but they felt great on day thirty just like they did on day one! My eyes felt comfortable and free of irritation the entire time.
