PRECISION Daily Contacts
PRECISION daily contacts are daily disposable soft contact lenses from Alcon for wearers who need a fresh pair each wearing day. PRECISION1 belongs to the category of silicone hydrogel contact lenses and is made from verofilcon A with 51% water in the lens core and SMARTSURFACE Technology, which creates a thin, moisture-rich surface layer. PRECISION1 for Astigmatism also uses PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 Lens Design to help the toric lens stay properly oriented during wear. Do not switch between PRECISION1, PRECISION1 for Astigmatism, or another daily lens unless your eye doctor has approved and fitted the change.
Choose the exact product name, power, base curve, diameter, and daily replacement schedule listed on your current contact lens prescription. If you wear PRECISION1 for Astigmatism, match the sphere, cylinder, axis, base curve, diameter, and exact daily toric product prescribed for each eye.

How PRECISION Daily Contacts Support Fresh Wear and Clear Vision
PRECISION daily contacts combine a single-use schedule with Alcon lens technologies for spherical or toric prescriptions. You can also compare these options with other prescription contact lenses by vision need, material, replacement schedule, and fit.</p
1. SMARTSURFACE Technology
PRECISION1 lenses use SMARTSURFACE Technology with more than 80% water at the lens surface. This surface design is made to support lens moisture during wear, while the Verofilcon A silicone hydrogel core places PRECISION1 among one-day silicone hydrogel lenses.
2. Daily Disposable Replacement
Each pair of PRECISION daily contacts follows the routine used for single-use contact lenses: wear the pair once and discard it after removal. This schedule avoids overnight cleaning, storage solution, lens-case care, and deposit buildup from repeated wear.
3. Spherical and Toric Options
PRECISION1 is used for standard nearsightedness or farsightedness correction when the prescription matches. PRECISION1 for Astigmatism belongs to the broader category of contacts for astigmatism and corrects vision using sphere, cylinder, and axis values. A spherical PRECISION1 lens cannot replace a prescribed toric lens.</p
Why Wearers Choose PRECISION Daily Contact Lenses
Wearers choose PRECISION daily contacts when their prescription matches and they want a fresh daily lens from Alcon.
- PRECISION1 is a daily disposable silicone hydrogel lens for standard vision correction.
- PRECISION1 products include UV blocking, but UV-blocking contact lenses do not replace sunglasses or other protective eyewear because contacts do not cover the entire eye or surrounding area.
- PRECISION1 for Astigmatism is a daily disposable toric lens for astigmatism correction.
- Both products use SMARTSURFACE Technology.
- PRECISION1 uses Verofilcon A with 51% core water content.
- PRECISION1 for Astigmatism uses PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 Lens Design for toric stability.
- Daily disposable wear means no overnight cleaning, disinfection, or storage.
- A fresh pair each day may suit wearers who prefer a simple lens routine.
- The lenses include a handling tint to help with insertion and removal.
- PRECISION1 products include UV blocking, but UV-blocking contacts do not replace sunglasses or other protective eyewear.
- Spherical and toric versions are not interchangeable because their prescription values and lens designs differ.
- Wearing time, fit, and comfort should still be confirmed by your eye doctor.
What to Check Before Ordering PRECISION Daily Contacts
Before ordering, confirm that the exact PRECISION product, prescription values, and daily replacement schedule match the lens fitted by your eye doctor.
Exact PRECISION Product
Match the complete product name on your prescription. PRECISION1 and PRECISION1 for Astigmatism are different products with different lens designs and fitting details. Do not order a toric or spherical version based only on brand name or similar power.
Spherical or Toric Prescription
For PRECISION1 spherical lenses, check the power, base curve, diameter, and exact product name for each eye. For PRECISION1 for Astigmatism, confirm the sphere, cylinder, axis, base curve, diameter, and toric lens name. If any toric value is missing or unclear, ask your eye doctor before ordering.
Daily Replacement Schedule
Confirm that the prescription lists a daily disposable product. Wear each pair once and discard it after removal, even if the lenses were worn for only part of the day. Do not rinse, store, disinfect, or reuse PRECISION daily contacts.
Wearing Time and UV Protection
Follow the daily wearing time recommended by your eye doctor. Remove the lenses before sleeping, showering, swimming, or entering a hot tub. UV-blocking contact lenses do not cover the entire eye
Are PRECISION1 Contacts Daily Disposable?
Yes, PRECISION1 contacts are single-use contact lenses. You wear a fresh pair for one day and throw the lenses away after removal. They do not need cleaning, disinfection, overnight storage, or a contact lens case. Do not reuse them later that day or save them for another day.
PRECISION1 for Astigmatism follows the same daily disposable replacement schedule. The difference is that the toric version corrects astigmatism and must match sphere, cylinder, and axis values. Daily disposable does not mean unlimited wearing time, so follow the number of hours approved by your eye doctor. Remove the lenses sooner if they feel painful, dry, unstable, or blurry.
What PRECISION Daily Contacts Are Available?
Lens.com lists PRECISION daily disposable options for standard vision correction and astigmatism correction.
PRECISION1
PRECISION1 is the spherical daily disposable option for wearers whose prescriptions match the product. Like other sphere contact lenses, it corrects nearsightedness or farsightedness using the power prescribed for each eye.
PRECISION1 for Astigmatism
PRECISION1 for Astigmatism is one of the daily contacts for astigmatism available for wearers whose prescriptions match the product. It requires sphere, cylinder, axis, base curve, diameter, and the exact toric lens name.
Box Size and Supply
PRECISION1 products may be listed in different box sizes, such as 30-count or 90-count options. Since one box usually covers one eye, calculate the total supply based on both your right-eye and left-eye prescriptions.
How Do PRECISION1 and PRECISION1 for Astigmatism Compare?
PRECISION1 and PRECISION1 for Astigmatism share the same daily disposable schedule and SMARTSURFACE Technology, but they are made for different prescription needs.
- PRECISION1: Corrects standard nearsightedness or farsightedness with a spherical power.
- PRECISION1 for Astigmatism: Corrects astigmatism using sphere, cylinder, and axis values.
- Fit details: The spherical version uses an 8.3 mm base curve and 14.2 mm diameter, while the toric version uses an 8.5 mm base curve and 14.5 mm diameter.
- Lens design: The toric version includes PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 Lens Design to help stabilize the astigmatism correction.
- Ordering: Use the exact product written on your prescription rather than switching between the two versions.
A spherical lens cannot replace toric contact lenses when your prescription calls for astigmatism correction. Ask your eye doctor to refit you before changing lens type.
Are PRECISION1 Daily Contacts Good?
Yes, PRECISION1 daily contacts may be a good option if your eye doctor has prescribed them and the fit works well for your eyes. They use SMARTSURFACE Technology, a silicone hydrogel material, and a daily disposable schedule. PRECISION1 may fit wearers who want standard spherical correction, while PRECISION1 for Astigmatism may fit wearers who need toric correction. The right choice depends on your prescription, eye shape, tear film, comfort pattern, and wearing time.
No contact lens is right for every wearer. A lens that feels comfortable for one person may not feel the same for another because fit, blinking, dryness, screen use, and environment can affect wear. Eye doctor-directed trial lenses help assess comfort, movement, centering, and vision before the prescription is finalized. Do not choose PRECISION1 only because of reviews, rebates, or price if it is not the exact lens prescribed for you.
How Long Can You Wear PRECISION1 Contacts?
Your wearing time should follow your eye doctor's instructions because comfort and safe wear can vary by person.
1. Follow the Approved Daily Wear Time
PRECISION1 contacts are daily disposable lenses, but that does not mean they can be worn for unlimited hours. As with other daily-wear contact lenses, your approved wear time depends on your eye health, tear film, lens fit, environment, and trial-wear results.</p
2. Remove Before Sleep or Water Exposure
Remove PRECISION1 contacts before naps, overnight sleep, showering in contact lenses, swimming, or using a hot tub. Daily disposable lenses should not be worn overnight unless your eye doctor has prescribed a different product and schedule.</p
3. Discard After Removal
Throw away the lenses after you remove them. Do not rinse them, place them in a case, or reinsert them later.
Do PRECISION1 Contacts Need Contact Lens Solution?
No, PRECISION1 daily disposable contacts do not need contact lens solution for cleaning or overnight storage. Each pair is used once and discarded after removal. This applies to both PRECISION1 and PRECISION1 for Astigmatism. Open a new sealed pair the next time you wear contacts.
You may still need contact-lens-compatible rewetting drops if your eye doctor recommends them. Do not use tap water, saliva, or non-approved drops on the lenses. Cleaning and storage solution is generally part of the care routine for reusable contact lenses, not single-use PRECISION1 lenses. If the lenses feel dry or uncomfortable, remove them rather than trying to clean or store them. Ask your eye doctor to review the fit or wearing time if dryness keeps happening.
Are PRECISION1 Contacts Good for Dry or Sensitive Eyes?
PRECISION1 may be considered for some wearers comparing contact lens options when dryness affects wear because it provides a daily disposable lens with a moisture-focused surface, but dry or sensitive eyes still need professional evaluation.
May be a good match if:
- Your eye doctor prescribed PRECISION1 after checking your tear film and lens fit.
- You prefer a fresh pair each day.
- Deposits or lens age affect your comfort with reusable lenses.
- Your prescription matches PRECISION1 or PRECISION1 for Astigmatism.
- Trial wear stays comfortable through the approved wearing time.
Recheck before ordering if:
- Your eyes feel dry soon after inserting a fresh pair.
- You have ongoing redness, burning, itching, or light sensitivity.
- You are choosing the lens only because it is marketed for comfort.
- You use eye drops that are not approved for contact lens wear.
- Your discomfort may be related to allergies, screen habits, medication, or dry eye disease.
- If sensitivity to lens materials, environmental triggers, or other factors affects wear, ask your eye doctor whether contact options for sensitive eyes should be considered during your fitting.
PRECISION1 Contacts vs DAILIES TOTAL1 and ACUVUE OASYS 1-Day
PRECISION1, DAILIES TOTAL1, and ACUVUE OASYS 1-Day are different daily disposable lens families. PRECISION1 uses SMARTSURFACE Technology, while DAILIES TOTAL1 uses technology found in water-gradient contact lenses and ACUVUE OASYS 1-Day uses HydraLuxe Technology. These products differ in material, surface design, prescription range, dimensions, and handling. A lens from one family should not replace another unless your eye doctor approves the switch.</p
Your prescription should list the exact product name, power, base curve, diameter, and replacement schedule. If you have astigmatism, the toric version must also match cylinder and axis values. Reviews and comparisons can help you understand product differences, but they cannot confirm how a lens will fit your eyes. Trial wear is the safest way to compare comfort, vision, movement, and end-of-day performance.
Are PRECISION1 Contacts Good for Astigmatism?
PRECISION1 for Astigmatism may be a good option when your eye doctor has prescribed it and your full toric prescription matches the available parameters.
Astigmatism Correction
PRECISION1 for Astigmatism corrects blurry or distorted vision caused by astigmatism using sphere, cylinder, and axis values. It cannot be replaced by standard PRECISION1 when your prescription requires toric correction.
Lens Stability
The lens uses PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 Lens Design to help keep the toric correction properly oriented during wear. Tell your eye doctor if your vision shifts, blurs, or clears after blinking because the lens may need a fit or rotation check.
Daily Replacement
PRECISION1 for Astigmatism is discarded after each wear, so it does not need cleaning or overnight storage. Open a fresh pair for each wearing day and follow the wearing time approved by your eye doctor.

Popular Contact Lens Reviews
Easy wearing
Been wearing this brand of contacts for 3 years- feel easy on the eyes, light, flexible & easy to dispose of. Say adios to buying contact solution & contact cases!
Actually holds its shape
Some dailies are so thin they just flop over on your finger. These are easy to pop right in. Vision is sharp all day.
Very comfortable
Contacts are very comfortable and you can’t even tell you’re wearing them.
That God loves me
Always on time and my order is always correct. I like the fact that they take care off verifying my script with my Dr., so I don't have to do it.
Love Love Love
Ordered for my 8 year old son after his eye doctor approved my contact request. He plays sports. These contacts are amazing for him. Arrived quick after his prescription was received. Cheapest price best quality.
Satisfied customer for 3 years
These are my first ever dailies & I am a very satisfied customer after wearing them for 3 years after wearing re-usable monthly contacts for 24 years!! I recommend this brand for anyone needing to make the change for reusable or disposable contacts.
Comfortable, clear, a little harder to remove
These are comfortable and give me good appropriate visual correction. They go in my eyes pretty easily.
However, they are a little more 'sticky' and I need to work harder to get them off my eyes at the end of the day. During my contact lens fitting I tried on some other brand which I simply could not get out of my eye. I think something has changed about contact design, and I don't think it's me, as I've worn soft contacts for many years.
Difficult to take out
These are the best, most comfortable contact lens that I've ever worn, BUT with their thinness and slipperiness, they are very difficult to remove at the end of the day. Definitely has a learning curve.
