Awesome Contact Lenses
Save on awesome contact lenses at Lens.com, with discounts across our collection of novelty designs. Awesome contact lenses are costume contacts made with bold colors, printed graphics, unusual pupils, and high-coverage patterns that create dramatic eye transformations.
Some designs turn your pupils into cat eyes, while others cover your natural eye color with whiteout, blackout, vampire, creature, or vibrant colored effects. Each theatrical contact is still a medical device, so you'll need a valid contact lens prescription before placing an order.
Awesome Costume Ideas You Can Do With Our Lenses
The eyes can establish the character before you add a mask, wig, or prosthetic makeup. Start with one of these novelty designs, then build the rest of your Halloween costume around its colors and pattern.
Vampire
Red Vampire and New Moon contacts replace an everyday iris with deep red tones that fit classic vampires, modern bloodsuckers, and gothic aristocrats. Add pale foundation, darkened eyes, subtle veins, fangs, and formal black clothing for a polished look that still reads as dangerous.
Possessed Character
White Out and Manson contacts create pale, unnatural eyes that work well for possessed characters, ghosts, cult members, and supernatural villains. Smudged makeup, torn clothing, messy hair, and faint facial markings can make the character look freshly taken over.
Demon
Black Out, Dark Angel, and Darth Maul contacts suit demons, fallen angels, and underworld creatures. Use black, red, or gray makeup around the eyes, then add horns, pointed ears, scars, or dark armor to carry the demonic theme across the face.
Dragon or Fantasy Creature
Bahamut and Dragon contacts bring reptilian pupils and scale-inspired details into dragon, lizard, and fantasy monster costumes. Match them with textured scale makeup, horns, wings, clawed gloves, or medieval armor.
Cat-Eyed Witch
Red Cat, Yellow Cat, and White Cat contacts reshape the pupil into a narrow feline slit. They work with witches, shapeshifters, magical familiars, jungle cats, and comic-inspired villains. Sharp eyeliner, pointed nails, cat ears, or dark robes can finish the character without hiding the lenses.
Zombie
Zombie Yellow, Psychosis, and White Out contacts can give an undead character cloudy, infected, or discolored eyes. Add uneven skin tones, bruising, fake wounds, torn clothing, and dried blood for a zombie that looks more detailed than a basic face-paint costume.
Spider Queen
Spider Web contacts feature white irises framed with black web patterns, while Spidey uses a brighter pink and black design. Pair either style with web makeup, black lace, silver jewelry, a dark crown, or small spider accessories.
Werewolf
Black Wolf, Red Wolf, and Yellow Cat contacts bring an animal-like stare to werewolf and shapeshifter costumes. Use textured fur pieces, extended brows, fangs, clawed gloves, and shadowed makeup around the cheeks and nose.
Alien
Avatar, Galaxy, and other vivid novelty contacts fit extraterrestrials, cosmic travelers, and fantasy beings. Blue or metallic makeup, glowing markings, reflective fabric, pointed ears, and unusual hair colors can extend the effect beyond the eyes.
Haunted Doll
Patchwork, Infinity, and spiral-patterned contacts work with dolls, stitched toys, puppets, and unsettling clowns. Painted seams, cracked porcelain makeup, mismatched clothing, yarn hair, and stiff movements can make the final character feel deliberately strange.

Are Awesome Contact Lenses Safe?
Yes, awesome contact lenses can be worn safely when they're fitted by an eye doctor and handled correctly. We only carry novelty contacts that are FDA-approved for legal sale in the United States, including Halloween, special-effect, FX, and theatrical designs.
The lenses in our collection come from established manufacturers and are made with high-quality contact lens materials. FDA approval doesn't make every product suitable for every person, though. Comfort and safety still depend on choosing the prescribed lens, following its wearing time, and practicing proper care.
Consulting with your eye doctor before ordering confirms which diameter, base curve, power, and product fit your eyes. Your doctor can also explain how long to wear the lenses and which contact lens care system to use.
Keep these habits in mind when wearing contacts:
- Wash and dry your hands before handling the lenses.
- Insert your lenses before applying eye makeup.
- Clean reusable lenses with fresh contact lens solution.
- Keep contacts away from tap water.
- Don't share costume contacts with another person.
- Don't sleep in them unless that exact product was prescribed for overnight wear.
- Replace the lenses according to their stated schedule.
- Remove them if you notice pain, redness, discharge, light sensitivity, or blurry vision.
Poor fit and improper handling can raise the risk of scratches, corneal ulcers, and eye infections. Contact an eye care professional promptly if symptoms continue after removing the lenses.
Do You Still Need a Prescription for Awesome Contacts?
Yes. Federal law requires a prescription for every type of contact lens, including decorative designs that don't correct vision. Colored contact lenses, costume contacts, and plano lenses all sit directly on the eye and can't legally be treated like makeup or over-the-counter accessories.
A contact lens prescription includes more than vision power. It may list the product name, manufacturer, base curve, diameter, and separate values for each eye. Those details help your eye doctor select a lens that fits rather than simply changing how your eyes look.
You'll still need a prescription when the contacts leave your natural eye color visible or have a plano power of 0.00. The visual effect doesn't change the legal requirement.
When ordering from us, you can upload your current prescription or enter your eye doctor's contact information. We'll verify the product and prescription details before completing the order.
Can You Use Insurance to Buy Awesome Contact Lenses?
Your vision plan may reimburse part of the purchase if it includes out-of-network contact lens benefits. We're considered an out-of-network retailer by most major vision insurance companies, so benefits usually aren't applied directly during checkout.
The usual reimbursement process is straightforward:
- Place and pay for your order.
- Save your itemized Lens.com invoice.
- Complete your insurer's out-of-network claim form.
- Submit the invoice and any requested documents.
- Wait for the insurer to review the claim.
Check with your insurance company before ordering. Some plans cover medically necessary or prescription contact lenses but exclude contacts purchased only for cosmetic or costume use. Your insurer sets the reimbursement amount, filing deadline, and eligibility rules.
Why Shop Awesome Contacts at Lens.com?
We've sold prescription contact lenses online since 1995. Our novelty collection includes dramatic colors, creature pupils, blackout and whiteout effects, character-inspired patterns, and scleral designs for costumes, cosplay, theatrical productions, and photo shoots.
Save on Awesome Contact Lenses
We discount many novelty contacts below their regular retail prices, with select designs showing savings of up to $75. Some products may also qualify for mail-in rebates when you purchase the required quantity. Current prices and rebate amounts appear on each product page.
Check the following details before adding a design to your cart:
- Price before and after any rebate
- Number of lenses included
- Available prescription powers
- Base curve and diameter
- Replacement period
- Current availability
- Production time for custom designs
- Final-sale or cancellation terms
Many novelty products contain one lens rather than a pair. Confirm the package count and select enough lenses for both eyes when needed.
We Verify Your Contact Lens Prescription
Federal rules require us to receive or verify your prescription before shipping contact lenses. You can upload a copy during checkout or give us your prescriber's contact details.
Our verification request contains the lens manufacturer, product name, power, base curve, diameter, and other prescription information. Your eye doctor has eight business hours to confirm, correct, or reject the request under the Contact Lens Rule. A prescription is treated as verified if the prescriber doesn't respond within that period.
This check helps us match the order with the awesome contacts prescribed for your eyes. Decorative lenses with similar colors or patterns aren't automatically interchangeable since their size, shape, material, and fit can differ.
Review the product name, quantities, powers, prescription expiration date, and shipping information before submitting the order. We'll need a renewed prescription if your current one has expired.
Keep Eligible Orders on Schedule With AutoRefill
AutoRefill is available for eligible contact lens products shown during checkout. You choose the delivery frequency, and we apply a 5% discount to future AutoRefill orders. You can snooze or cancel the schedule when your needs change.
Not every novelty contact will qualify. Many awesome contacts are made for occasional wear, sold as individual lenses, or manufactured after the order is placed. Check your cart to see whether AutoRefill appears for the design you selected.
A current prescription is still required for recurring shipments. AutoRefill handles the reorder timing, but it doesn't replace prescription renewals or regular eye exams.

Novelty Contact Lens Reviews
Great but limited visibility
Great for the look I was going for. However, do not wear this product if you need to drive - the only vision is through the pupil area, and it takes a second for the contact to move with your eye.
High Prescription Options!!
The hardest thing about finding appropriate contacts with a higher prescription is that most of them have zero prescription. Lens.com offers great options to those who need to see while looking fabulous for Halloween! Thanks!!
Amazing
I love these contacts for my cosplay and it was the only site I could find my prescription. Thanks for an amazing product.
Awesome
Wore them as party of my Halloween costume, made my costume awesome. Highly recommended.
Awesome contacts
More comfortable than expected. Even with the prescription ones. Look great and reasonable price!
