Put the lenses in before heavy makeup application and remove them before you become too tired at the end of the night.

Red theatrical contacts should not feel sharply painful, heavily irritating, or impossible to keep comfortable. Mild awareness can happen when first inserting novelty lenses, especially if you do not wear contacts regularly, but worsening discomfort is a sign that something may be wrong.
