What Is Isometropia?
Isometropia is a refractive state where both eyes have the same, or nearly the same, optical power. That means the prescription in each eye matches closely, whether the correction is for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, or a mix. Isometropia is the opposite of anisometropia, where one eye needs much more correction than the other. Even with matched prescriptions, blurred vision can still happen if the overall prescription is not correct or if eye strain is present.
