What Is Hip Labrum Repair?
Hip labrum repair is surgery used to reattach a torn acetabular labrum to the rim of the hip socket. The labrum is a ring of fibrocartilage that deepens the socket and contributes to joint stability and the fluid seal around the femoral head. Repair aims to preserve viable labral tissue rather than remove the torn portion. The procedure is most commonly performed arthroscopically through small incisions around the hip.
