What Is Eye Lymphoma?
Eye lymphoma, particularly primary vitreoretinal lymphoma, is a rare non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphoma that affects the retina, vitreous and optic nerve. It often occurs in both eyes and may be associated with lymphoma in the brain. People with weakened immune systems or certain genetic changes have a higher risk. Early detection is challenging because symptoms mimic inflammation, but prompt treatment is essential.
