Product Information

Have you been told that you’re not a good candidate for contact lenses? Consider rigid gas permeable lenses before you give up. Today, they’re created with polymers that provide exceptional comfort and performance. You’ll enjoy a clear view of the world with OP-6 gas permeable contact lenses by Optical Polymer Research. Unlike soft contact lenses, these utilize advanced technology to enable the passage of oxygen through the lens. OP-6 contact lenses in particular feature superior oxygen transmission levels, which promote better ocular health and a whiter, brighter appearance of the sclera.

In addition to superior comfort, OP-6 contact lenses also provide maximum durability with a composition made entirely of a polymer material called lotifocon C. This highly durable material is naturally resistant to rips, tears, and other damage that may occur with soft lenses during normal handling, which ensures long-lasting quality. Although the material won't instantly adapt to the shape of your eyes like soft lenses do, hard contact lenses will provide a better fit with regular wear. In fact, OP-6 lenses are custom made for you according to the exact measurements of your eyes. This makes them an ideal choice for patients with atypical cornea surfaces or curvatures resulting from conditions such as keratoconus or unsuccessful LASIK procedures.

One of the healthiest aspects of OP-6 lenses is that they don't contain any water, which limits the risk of debris and protein deposit buildup. Despite the lack of water in their composition, the lenses lock in naturally produced moisture from your eyes to facilitate comfortable all-day hydration. A one-year replacement schedule delivers exceptional convenience—you will not run out of contacts—with daily cleaning and storing required to maintain quality throughout this 365-day period. This schedule also means that OP-6 RPG contact lenses are more economical than soft contact lenses, which follow a monthly, weekly, or daily replacement schedule.
